Softcore is fantasy. You watch it despite knowing that the sex isn’t real – you pretend it is, anyway. That’s that good old nugget of film wisdom, the “willing suspension of disbelief.” Since sci-fi and monster movies operate on the exact same principle, on paper, softcore/sci-fi mashups of the kind that Seduction Cinema puts out should be a natural fit. But what happens when you have a movie where neither the sci-fi or the softcore is any good?
