Wally Phister, Cinematographer

Wally Phister used to be the cinematographer for Gregory Dark / Hippolyte who directed films such as Night Rhythms, Animal Instincts, Secret Games, Secret Games 3, Mirror Images 2 and others. But I just now discovered that Mr. Phister is now the cinematographer for - drumroll please.... Christopher Nolan!!! Yup, he was the director of photography for all of Nolan's Batman films as well as The Prestige and Inception. He also worked on The Italian Job and Moneyball. I thought it was pretty damn cool that this guy got his start in softcore!

How often have we read stories of filmmakers getting their start in sex films (often using an alias)? If you look, his softcore looked pretty damn good.
