Erm, you're right although anyone who's seen her in anything where she was credited as Danielle Petty knows that Kennedy Johnston and Danielle Petty are the same person.
Perhaps she was in softcore for the wrong reasons or remembers the time in her life as "Danielle Petty" with regret.
All I know is that she was hot as Danielle Petty when she did a tame but notable girl-girl scene with dull-as-dishwater Ashlie Rhey in "Erotic Confessions" and she was hot almost 10 years later as the lead in "Secret Cellar." She can call herself whatever she wants.
We've commented on the name game with softcore stars before and sometimes their name changes are downright odd. Like...after 10 years of being in softcore, why did Monique Parent start calling herself Scarlet Johansing? She brings too much dignity to a withering genre to hide behind a pseudonym. And, with IMDB these days, they surely aren't pulling the wool over anyone's eyes.
Somebody wrote that "Brad Bartram" has a personal site calling himself a completely different name, but this personal stuff still leaks out. I read he's married with a couple of kids to Colleen McDermott, who did some softcore in her time (Night that Never Happened)
"Matt Dalipaz/Dalpiaz/Pidilaz, et al" has been found out as theater actor "Joe Souza" and apparently has a stellar singing voice as well as some local critical acclaim.
"Jeff Griggs" had the distinction of being outed as a former gay porn star, and the even worst distinction of being outed as a personal artist for Bush.
Anyone else discover a secret side to their softcore favorites? I guess with the monopoly of porn stars, the mystery is dissipating.
