The Awakening of Gabriella

by Wikkid on May 30, 2004

Let me open by saying that I am biased. I love Susan Featherly. That said, here we go…

This movie starts off with a naked Susan Featherly taking a shower; that is a GREAT place to start. Featherly plays the titular Gabriella, a former country girl who spent her days in the field picking flowers and living the carefree simple life. All that changes when she drives up to the gas station where her husband Carl (Paul Dion Monte) works and finds him screwing Venus over a counter-top. Damn, if pumping gas gets you girls like Susan and Venus, then I’m stitching a name tag on my shirt and heading down to the nearest Texaco!

It is a fairly short, but very hot scene. Venus looks better than I have ever seen her look before, and she exudes passion. Needless to say, the affair doesn’t sit well with Gabby. She hops into her pick-up truck and decides that she is going to make a new life for herself in the big city. Along the way she picks up a hitchhiker named Kevin (Ron Galbraith), an aspiring musician with big city dreams of his own. But who cares about him? The point of his existence in the movie is to help along Gabriella’s sexual awakening, which he wastes no time in doing. What follows is a very hot scene with some good positions. I was especially surprised by the intensity that Susan brought to the scene. She rides that cowboy HARD, and her moans of pleasure only add to the hotness. It could have been longer, but it was nice nonetheless.

Broke, and in need of a job, Gabriella goes to a strip club because she is told a hostess job is available. Once there, she meets Rachel (Taimie Hannum), who does a nice little striptease for us. They get to talking, and not 10 seconds later she has convinced Gabby to get up on stage to do a little stripping of her own. They both get fully nude and prance around, and let me tell ya, it’s a beautiful sight.

Now that Gabby has found her calling and is gainfully employed, the floodgates of sexual possibility are opened. While giving another great striptease, she meets the stunning Sasha (Jeannie Millar) who has an interesting proposition for our Gabby. She gets a load of cash, just for getting naked and watching Jeannie bang her wealthy mystery man, Stephen (Mark Ritter). Now that is my idea of a good job! The scene itself is fairly nice. Susan again looks great naked (I love when she straddles the arm of the couch), and Jeannie Millar sans clothing is never a bad thing. We get a couple of quick glimpses of Jeannie’s piercing, if you know what I mean. She is breath-taking, but it is one of those sex scenes where the guy never takes off his pants. That frustrates me to no end.

Gabby’s roommate Kevin goes a bit psycho/jealous, driving her away and straight into the company of the rich Stephen, and straight between the legs of Jeannie Millar. They have a really erotic girl/girl in and around the pool, with the lucky bastard getting to watch. These two women are a sight to see. I’m not too big on lesbian scenes, but I was this time.

Scenes to look forward to: Susan has a scorching pool-side girl/girl with Jeannie Millar; Taimie has a very quick, hot scene with Ron Galbraith; Susan gets a fully nude massage; Susan has an interesting girl/girl with Anna; and we get a nice explicit shot from Ms. Featherly. In the last sex scene, Susan and Mark Ritter FINALLY consummate their relationship. My jaw dropped like twice during this scene! When Mark gives Susan oral, his face is right up in there, full contact. Very pleasantly surprising for Susan to have done something so explicit. She also gives us a brief explicit rear-view before cow-girling him to completion. A very hot scene, by my standards.

In the end there were several aspects that made this movie enjoyable for me, not the least of which is the abundance of a naked Featherly and Millar. The movie has high production values, with almost a glossy sheen to it. The camera isn’t fixed to one angle for each postion, it roams. It had a semi-interesting plot. Sure it’s not Shakespeare, and it’s been done to death, but at least they tried.

Some bad points: while the scenes are hot, some of them are much too short. For example, the first Susan scene with Ron, and Taimie’s scene with the same guy. The ballroom dancing at the end made me want to gag. They at least could’ve gone out on another sex scene.

If you are a fan of Susan’s then this is a must see/own. Also, Jeannie Millar softcore is so few and far between that it might be worth it just for her.
