Hollywood Sex Fantasy

Indigo Entertainment has been putting out some quality erotica lately, much of it being the kind that can marry an interesting story to some decent sex. But this movie seems to shift gears at the half-way mark, with both the story and the sex stumbling over each other to see who's gonna get to be on top.
The first half of this movie is a genuine sex-fest, with much the same feel as a porno movie. It kicks itself off with a steamy threesome, where we first meet mega famous movie star Cameron Hunter (Jack Lincoln), who seems to be getting most of his action off-camera (hell, when you make 20 million per picture, off-camera action comes easy). But poor Cameron is getting tired of the Hollywood scene and wants to get away to do some soul searching. He also wants to figure out how he wants to proceed with his relationship to Karen (Catalina Larranaga), a stage actress who despises the Hollywood industry and wants to truly develop her craft away from the glam and the trash of La-La Land.
Enter Tim (also played by Lincoln), a starving actor who can't get any roles due to his uncanny resemblance to Cameron Hunter. He has taken to delivering pizzas for Happy Boy Pizza and by a twist of fate ends up at Hunter's home, where he arrives just in time to witness two luscious ladies ravish each other in the pool. This scene is hot, with lots of tongue kissing and sensual exploration. One woman reaches down as she sits on the edge of the pool and rubs herself quite nicely for our appreciative eyes to see. This is what I like: show me that there might really be some sex going on, but especially make me believe that they are enjoying it.
Cameron talks Tim into replacing him for one month so he can get away without any hassles from his agent, studios, producers, etc. It doesn't take long for Tim to eagerly jump into the role of Hunter...and into bed with the many willing women he meets along the way.
This is where the movie gets fun. Tim immediately calls up his screenwriter friend, Sam (Zak Harding, ex-host of Naughty Amateur Home Videos on the Playboy channel), and the two guys begin living it up; driving Cameron's porsche, lounging around the swimming pool, and getting lots and lots of carnal action. The sex scenes come fast, the action is pounding, and then....well, it starts to slow down, takes a wrong turn, and we drift down some sideroads for the next half of the film.
It all starts when Tim, still impersonating Cameron, ends up in the office of a big-time producer (who had me laughing with his almost Dennis Miller-esque delivery) and signs on to do a movie called Space Buddies 2 , which the real Cameron Hunter didn't want to touch with a fifty-foot pole. But when your co-star is a sexy blonde with a body that can make a grown man whimper, namely, Jennifer Parkin (Tracy Angeles), how can he say no?
From here the movie loses a bit of momentum. Tim ends up falling for Karen and the lustful sex scenes we saw earlier start to deteriorate into generic dry humping. A romantic element gets introduced that just doesn't mix with the free-for-all, lustful romps the characters enjoyed during the first half. The story simply runs out of gas and the viewer is left waiting for the loose ends to be tied up.
The first half of this movie had me firing on all engines, not daring to blink lest I miss something. But the second half left me feeling like a runner who has been keeping pace but then finds himself having to walk the final mile, wheezing and holding the cramp in his side. The story just got a bit too bloated and implausible towards the end and the sex scenes were coasting on autopilot. The movie was so fun and sexy and then it went and tossed a bucket of cold water on itself.
But Flower playing with herself on a counter top? And Catalina "jilling" herself with the shower hose while taking a bath (not to mention the pounding she takes from Cameron on the sofa)? I guess I can forgive a bit of a slowdown. Director Kelly Cauthen has left in enough steamy sex and genuine eroticism make this one a worthy flick to check out.
