Fast Lane to Vegas

This is the second "Fast Lane" movie that Indigo produced, the first being "Fast Lane to Malibu", which featured pretty much the same cast and concept. Both movies were featured on the Playboy channel during the Summer and Fall of 2000 as Interactive Movies , which meant that viewers could vote over the internet as to how the story was going to progress. I played along, enjoying these two road movies, and trying to get as morally decadent as I could. Things usually went my way (surprise!) and things moved along quite nicely. Now if only every movie gave us these choices...

This movie is what I like to call a wall-to-wall'er , which basically means that the characters and storyline are secondary to squeezing in as much sex as possible. Characters exchange as little dialog as possible before getting down to business, and Vegas is absolutely stuffed with nudity and sex scenes. The movie is also a comedy, and makes no bones about it's sole mission to deliver our two heroes, Brian and Zack (Steve Curtis and Stephen Harvard) into as many wacked out sexual situations as possible.

The boys are trying to get to Vegas for Brian and Monica's (Renee Rea) wedding, but not before making a quick stop for a showgirl party along the way. Twenty showgirls are waiting to give Brian a bachelor party he will never forget -- but first they've got to get there while dodging jealous boyfriends, a female mercenary hired by Monica's mobster father (Ava Lake), two sex-starved aliens (Tera Patrick and Kelli McCarty), a Mexican firing squad, and an impending book deadline. As if all that wasn't enough, they also have to deal with beauty queens, strippers, Mexican waitresses, and other ball-drainers who keep bringing the boys one step closer to getting their skins "removed with a blow torch"-- Monica's father's threat to Brian if he is even one second late to the wedding.

But while Brian and Zack are enjoying themselves with a bevy of horny beauties, Monica and her friend Ashley (Tracy Angeles) are seducing bell-hops and the male stripper hired for Monica's bachelorette party. Did somebody mention morals? We don't need no stinkin' morals!

This movie features lots of explicit nudity, with the main theme being guy/girl sex. It's a funny movie and does a good job keeping you entertained with the shenanigans and abundance of sex, but we would have liked a bit more of Renee, Tracy, and Ava (also known as 'Mia Zottoli' - she was hotter than I've ever seen her before in this flick). Sometimes the sex moves a bit fast, starting at 70mph and speeding towards the finish, but this was never meant to be 'romantic' softcore. For that reason it might not be the most effective couples flick, but most guys will have a great time indulging in this type of fantasy movie.
