Having never seen one single episode of the actual “Survivor” on television, I had no idea what to expect from this one. But knowing that this movie was from the folks at Seduction Cinema I knew that somewhere along the line there would be some girl/girl action to enjoy. Anyone who has seen a Seduction title knows that it’s “all lesbo, all the time”…not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Director John Bacchus has assembled two teams of erotic competitors to face-off in the deep jungles of New Jersey (which, it could be said, is technically far enough away from civilization). We have two tribes: The Pu-Nanni, which consists of four lesbians - Darian, Jade, Esmerelda, and Misty - and the erotically-challenged Hey-Hu-Nanni tribe, which has spiritual seeker Christian (Justin Wingenfeld), chronic stoner Bernie (Joey Smack), hippie dude Ward (Bill Hellfire), and an uptight censor, Mary (Debbie Rochon), all of whom are trying to win the grand prize of - are you holding your breath? - 100 bucks! Seems worth it, wouldn’t ya say?
Though the movie was funny and as wacky as any other Seduction title, there was one crucial element that seemed lacking - namely, the sex. There are only a few scenes in this one, and even though most of them seemed to have a lot of promise and generated a fair amount of heat, it seemed like they were trying to get it over with in a hurry so they could get back to the funny stuff. One scene in particular, with Misty Mundae and Jade DuBoir, just started to get really rolling when all of a sudden there’s a cut to another scene and whammo, it’s over. It’s too bad, too, because it looked like the chemistry was “on” with a lot of the girls and the genuine excitement and enthusiasm came across. They laugh and smile and give each other a lot of eye contact, deep kissing, and gentle fondling, licking, and touching. But the wait in-between scenes might leave many impatient viewers with their fingers on the FFW button.
As a b-movie comedy, I liked it. But as softcore entertainment I think they slightly missed the mark. The sex scenes in the movie are worthwhile, there just should have been more of them. With a title like “Erotic Survivor”, the movie should have kept to it’s word.
And Debbie Rochon looked as hot as any of the other girls and she was clothed the entire time!
