Batbabe: The Dark Nightie

I wanted to like this one, I really did. Despite its lack of erotic heat, I kinda got a kick out of Seduction Cinema’s parody of Iron Man (see Iron Babe) and was hoping to get at least  a few laughs out of this latest effort. But alas, Batbabe: The Dark Nightie was a disappointment; the cheesy special effects and scatological humor was even too low-brow for this low-brow and the sex continues to be tame and posed, with nary a spark in sight.

Darian stars as Wendy Wane, a stripper by day and the Batbabe by night. When a new criminal calling himself “The Jerker” (Robert Mandara) hits Bacchum City and begins stealing all of the porn, it’s up to Batbabe, along with District Attorney Henrietta Bent (Molly Heartbreaker, she of the flaming nipples), and Commissioner Boredom (John Fedele) to bring the chronic masturbator to justice.

Perhaps wisely from a comedic standpoint, Mandara’s “Jerker” is based more on the campy Cesar Romero version from the 60’s television series than the darker Heath Ledger performance from The Dark Knight. But they do spoof some of the scenes from that movie, such as the “disappearing pencil” trick, which in this case is not a pencil (it’s a dildo) and it does not disappear by having someone’s head slammed onto the table. Use your imagination, I’m sure you can figure it out

There is a lot of sex, both hetero and girl/girl, but nothing really sizzles. Some of the eye candy is decent, but there just isn’t much sensuality or eroticism generated. The sex scenes in a lot of Seduction’s recent releases seem tacked on, just meat for the grinder ’til they can get to the next gag. It’s just that in this case, the gags aren’t enough to make up for it.
