This is an early (1997) Eros collectible that starts us off with all the elements of a tantalizing erotic drama: realistic-looking couples with relationship issues, a secluded but lavish vacation getaway, and good opening sex scenes. Plus, you’ve got the ever-luscious Lorissa McComas and fresh-faced Kristin Herold. Yep, at first glance, When Passions Collide would appear to have it all. But does it deliver the goods?

Long out of print and rarely found in retail outlets, this one’s a tough find even for determined collectors. Why Penthouse didn’t press more copies of this tantalizing DVD is a mystery to me, because Pets in Paradise is among the best of its kind when it comes to “modeling” videos, meaning those where the performers do more posing than acting. Usually, they have no dialogue, no plot, and a purely musical backdrop…

Unless they deserve special merit, we tend not to review many older films—especially those from the sex-and-murder era. Teach Me Tonight is one such film, but lucky for us the emphasis is on sex rather than violence. If you can get past the image of the dude with a 22 caliber hole in the middle of his forehead, this movie has some worthy erotic moments…
