Unless you live in Europe, you may know that until recently, the unrated version of Testing the Limits was just about impossible to find—even though it was released over two years ago (Editor’s note: the unrated version is now out-of-print). I guess the folks at Mystique figured it was just too damn hot for those of us in the domestic market—either that, or they wanted to tease the hell out of us with the sweet promise of Lorissa McComas (of Lap Dancing fame) in one of her best b-movie roles to date. Here, she plays a gorgeous model who helps to complicate the relationship of a young couple when a pre-wedding camping trip takes them into uncharted territory (in more ways than one). [Read more →]

After delivering the goods with a slick and original debut film (Forbidden), Sapphire Films has stumbled miserably. Watchful Eye is their second effort, a second-rate film that was originally marketed as Voyeur Beach, which I saw as a pre-release screener last summer (2002) courtesy of Creative Light Video. Disappointing then in its rough form, it’s now even more so, having been picked up by Cajun Pictures and “cleaned up” for its “R” rated version, which seems to be the only version available.
